# Upload

> Upload job results to the Hub.

Harbor Hub lets you store, view, and share job results, including their trials and trajectories.

## Uploading

Sign in, then upload a local job directory:

```bash theme={"system"}
harbor auth login
harbor upload "<job-path>"
```

The directory must contain `config.json` and `result.json`.

To upload trials as they finish during a run, add `--upload`:

```bash theme={"system"}
harbor run ... --upload
```

If an upload is interrupted or some trials fail to upload, rerun `harbor upload "<job-path>"`. Already-uploaded trials are skipped.

## Visibility

New uploads are private by default. Use `--public` to make a job public, or `--private` to make it private:

```bash theme={"system"}
harbor upload "<job-path>" --public
harbor upload "<job-path>" --private
harbor run ... --upload --public
```

For an already-uploaded job, these flags update its visibility. Omitting them preserves its current visibility.

## Ownership and sharing

Jobs default to your personal organization. Use `--org` to select the owning organization for a new upload:

```bash theme={"system"}
harbor upload "<job-path>" --org "<org>"
```

Re-uploading cannot change a job's owner. To share a job with another organization, use `--share`:

```bash theme={"system"}
harbor upload "<job-path>" --share "<org>"
harbor run ... --upload --share "<org>"
```

Repeat `--share` to share with multiple organizations. Sharing with an organization you do not belong to requires confirmation; use `--yes` to confirm in scripts.

See [Sharing](/harbor-hub/sharing) for managing access after upload and [Download](/harbor-hub/download) for retrieving results.
